Shaped By Life

There is no doubt in my mind that the things I listen to every day throughout the day are shaping me. I am a firm believer that we shape our own lives, and we have all the power in the world to do anything we want. Yes, some have significantly greater obstacles to hurdle than others, but I just believe down to the inner most part of my soul that we are powerful beyond our imagination and those obstacles are placed there for people to prove how bad they want something.
“It’s very simple. This is what I believe…and…I’m willing to die for it. Period.” I have been shaping my life over the past year into something that I would defend with honor and belief. This concept brings up something for me that really strikes home. Everything we do represents our own personal brand. How we shake a hand, how we smile at people, and how we apologize when we screw up. I want my brand, Evan Sanders, to be a brand that represents honor, loyalty, respect, discipline, passion, heart, and hard work. That is who I want to be…and therefore I do things each and every day to live this reality. While it may not be perfect, I know that I am closer each day than I was the day before.
Perfection is never achieved. Nothing is ever perfect. However, it does not mean that we can’t try for perfection…and attain greatness along the way. Instead of giving 10…you aim for 11. You might fall short of 11, but the other guy is falling short of 10 because his sights aren’t aimed as high. Overshoot your expectations…make unbelievable expectations for yourself…because you deserve that! You deserve greatness, excellence, and the finest parts of life. But by always being “realistic” about things, you will shortchange yourself and never go as high as you wish.
You must believe it before anyone else will believe it.
