This piece really resonates with what I have been exploring in recent months. The principle of amor fati, love of one's fate - even the challenges and suffering - especially the challenges I think, as this is where the real growth happens. Learning to hold a deep appreciation for even the harshest of lessons, through the recognition of how they have ultimately inspired and shaped the current version of you. I really like how you include a method for practical application relating to the content at the end. Thanks for sharing!

Definitely a big perspective shift right? Instead of rejecting what's happening, embracing it. Gives you all your personal power back as well.

This one was hard to read… my past hasn’t taught me this much, maybe because I feel I am at war with it!!! I hope i can have peace and surrender soon!!! Thank you Evan for leading the way into growth ❤️

Have to come to peace with it and embrace it. Then you'll be able to move forward.

I was just thinking about writing out, what keeps circulating in my head. I’m also realizing not every unlocked door is the right door, and knocking on locked doors that don’t open isn’t in alignment, either. Fear could also keep you from opening the right door.

Regardless of what you let go and what stage of life you’re at, you’ll never know when the past will come knocking on your door. Seems like life tests you, to see if you’ll move differently even if it’s a completely different scenario. But you’re right, there’s no way of moving forward without thanking the past.

I really liked how you summarized that. Not all doors are for you, no matter their current state. Open or closed. Have to embrace the past to move forward.

Thank you, i agree. I think the struggle is really when you feel like you’ve embraced your past enough to move forward, but our brains are typically wired to warn us if a new situation feels like a past situation, from what we’ve been through. Through meditation or reflection you can come to the consensus that they are just passing thoughts, but deciphering the “right” door to walk through when that is happening, is probably the toughest.

Very deep post.

"You taught me that peace isn’t about control—it’s about surrender."

I think I'm the type that probably needs to work more on surrendering.

Have you written a post on surrendering? If not, you should!

I think there are still merits in controlling the things we can, so I guess, surrendering is more about the things we can't control?

I think I've definitely written on that theme! I'll have to look to make sure. But I think you've got it. What is within your control vs. what's outside of your control.

I'd love to hear what you think of this one! Really threw myself into it. And if you have any feedback on the "Here’s how you can apply this to your own life" section I would like to hear that as well!
