You're just an angel in a human form. Your posts makes someone to realize her existence and reason for living. Sometimes life knocks us down to a point of losing our identity but thank to people like you who fix our posture and align our focus. So grateful to God for you My Angel.
Evan, your words feel like stepping into a quiet river—cool, steady, and expansive. They reminded me of an essay I wrote about letting go of small, absurd expectations (like finding two brioche buns) only to realize the struggle wasn’t with the buns but my refusal to flow with life’s unpredictability.
The metaphor of living like an amoeba resonates deeply. It’s a gentle yet profound reminder that life isn’t meant to be forced into rigid shapes. Do you think our resistance comes from a fear of losing control, or is it that we’re taught to fear the unknown currents of life?
Your line about fears shrinking when faced hit especially hard. It’s a beautiful reminder that surrendering isn’t about defeat—it’s about making space for courage and faith.
Thank you for sharing this perspective; it’s the kind of wisdom that lingers long after the words are read.
There's so many things that cause that resistance, but I think you're right that at its core is fear. Fear of (insert anything to be scared of here) does so much to limit us from expanding and making decisions to move forward in life. That's where the courage comes in.
Really happy to hear this resonated so much with you. Appreciate your comment and perspective.
I love this and can fully relate. My husband of 26 years died unexpectedly over 2 years ago and I am finally learning to trust myself again and let go of everything I was holding on so tightly too. I lost myself and am slowly getting my self confidence back. I am only 53 and have a full life ahead of me. I plan to embrace as fully as I can. Thank you for your perspectives. 💗
We can flow sometimes like a river, being constantly in motion and other times we can be like a lake, which can freeze and unfreeze a thousand times.(Self compassion by James A. Petersen) One day we feel connected to ourselves, with the world and the next day we wake up frozen, no plans, feeling disconnected from our goals and intentions. According to Richard Rohr life's biggest setbacks can't be solved, only outgrown. Our spiritual awakening, our light shining day by day lighter is our great breakthrough.
So true what you say, my faith is very strong, so that makes me cling to GOD to whom i speak and put my trust and let his DEVINE flow guides me what and where to, most off the time i just let go let GOD, my ALPHA and OMEGA who is stearing me in HIS way, so its a lot like you say about the river, i flow actaully free fall into HIS way set out for me.
