Let me tell you something. You have everything in you that you will ever need to achieve something great. Very very few will believe in it. Many will tell you no. You will have every doubt in the book. You will cry, struggle, weep, scream…but you will also laugh hysterically, feel true fiery passion, and your heart will beat for your dream. You will achieve your milestone, and hundreds of more doors will open for you. The emails will start streaming in. The offers to be interviewed and be on the radio will start to show up. All of the struggle that you went through during the journey becomes worth it. You start to feel that pain subside…and you only sit there, in the present, happy as can be. You will then look at your other dreams and have the courage to attack with a vigor you never had the strength for before. Why? Because you have done it already.
You have to be hungry. You have to want it. You have to put the work in. Happy thoughts won’t get you there. They will help you, but only the sweat will get you to the place you want to be. Fight, claw, attack your dreams and your goals with noticeable passion. If an obstacle shows up, be a living preposition. Through it, over it, under it, around it, beside it…just keep going. Because the obstacles are there to show you how bad you want something. A setback is a setup for a comeback. Who will you be? What will you be? Go. Attack. Fire the cannons! Give them the whole 9 yards. No mercy until it is done.
You have greatness within you. Now go.

The Better Man Project
brilliant. Well done – especially your endeavour to become a better man (of whom there are very few around).

I read this today, after you followed my blog. Fabulous pieces of advice. I have already lived through a lot of what you said. Thank you for the heads’ up! 🙂
The hairs on my hairs raised, and my heart stopped beating for just a second as I felt what I was reading was specifically written for me! Just when I’m thinking on giving up on meditation, believing that it will not work, and I see your words and feel as though somebody has patted me on my back. Thank you!
Thank you. I bought your book and started reading it before I had planned to. I turned on my kindle just to check that it was there. The words drew me in and I found myself saying repeatedly, “Just one more page”. I had to make myself stop because I had to finish some previous commitments. I look forward to diving back into your book this weekend! PEACE-
Wow! Thank you for the preposition idea. Great wisdom.
Greatly inspiring! Thank you 🙂
wow!!! thank you for posting this inspiring words it can really lift up someone’s esteem ..hmmm. esp. me.
I’m feeling a bit down lately and having sleepless nights cause my progress in my cartoons and illustrator work is much slower than I expected. And I am doubting whether I can make it.
Thank you for the pep talk! I needed it! 🙂
I needed to read this today … Thanks … Be well, Dorothy 🙂
Love the idea of being a human preposition. Now that’s grammar in action! Haha
“Happy thoughts won’t get you there” is a great line! We can plan and motivate ourselves and self-help and personal-development our way only so far. We’ve got to dive in at some point and get it done!
Thanks for the inspiring words!!
