I have listened to a lot of talks, speeches, and read a handful of books on the topic of why some people get through unbelievable turmoil and why others stay stuck in it. It all comes down to this: decision. If you have the ability to decide for yourself and believe in your decision then you will overcome. You don’t have to know exactly where you are going, you don’t to have all the resources in the world, you don’t have to be fearless…you just have to decide that whatever is going on around you…isn’t what you are or who you want to become. But there needs to be something behind that decision.
Force of action. Without action you are a stick in the mud. It is the easiest thing in the world to tell everyone you are going to do something, and then not do it. That takes absolutely zero effort. What can be excruciating though is breaking bad habits. There is a reason why they are habits in the first place, and by god the bad ones are hard to break. But if you have to kick and scream…then do it. Use everything at your disposal. But do not give in to temptation when you are at your weakest point. That is where many of us get caught. When we are down and out, we just go right back to where we were. I think, the most crucial time to act in accordance to what you said is during these times. You let the world and yourself know that you are on to something better. You are waking up.
My challenge to you today is to decide. Decide that you are going to do this. The thing is, decide that there is no option but success. That will make you go all in. And why would you sit at life’s table just trying to win little bits here and there. Boring. I would rather go all in on something big and give myself the chance to succeed, than live a life of mediocrity. When you know you have a good hand and you are prepared, take the chance.
Don’t live your life in regret wondering what could have been.

my mantra for the longest while has been “just keep moving”. When we look at making changes in our lives..when we look at becoming more than what we are or have been, it can seem overwhelming. I can remember very clearly being in a place where I knew I couldn’t go back, but I didn’t know how to move forward, or what that would mean. I only knew I needed to move. one step at a time no matter how small, just keep moving. Glad you liked my blog, it led me to yours π

Powerful! Please Read.
Great words! So True! I hope that you don’t mind that I share something with you (author) and the readers of this post.
I have written a book called Thoughts Become You. In Thoughts Become You (because that is the truth) I discuss how to overcome your self-imposed limitations with simple techniques. Your limitations are exactly that..YOUR LIMITATIONS! Once you become aware of that (like hopefully you are now) you can remove them and BE or BEcome whatever you want.
I wrote this book for 2 reasons. I wanted to become a published author. And I’ve always wanted to help people. This was the perfect medium to achieve my goal and let my (Thoughts BEcome ME) and help people I can’t touch on a day to day or face to face basis.
I would love if you would take a read. I have put together a FREE Preview pdf download. Simply follow the link provided below and walaah..TRUTH!
Here is the link: https://www.createspace.com/Preview/1110963
After you read it I would appreciate your thoughts. There is a 5 question review you can fill out. If you can that would be great!
Thanks!

That’s what happens when three artists get together with a graphite pencil! Lol, it was a fun night.
π I love this, Evan. In my life, I’ve found one thing to always be true. The only cure for getting down is to get up!!! ~ Ever, Bobbie
This reminds me of myself just yesterday. Playing a bad hands the best you can, using good hands when the chance arises… Which of those is truly harder? Thank you for your inspiration today!
You always manage to have the most inspirational things to say. And those words are always so relevant. I know I have found myself stuck thinking my habits were impossible to break, even the tiniest ones, like not biting my nails. But when I put my mind to it I was able to kick it. And that has propelled me to try kicking other bigger habits. This post puts things into the right perspective. Thank you for that. Wish me luck.
I love your blog. There is always some pinned around the house.
YES!!
So thoughtfully written and just the words I needed thrown in my face today. You make it seem possible through your words. Now it is my time to take action. Great post!!
So hard to break bad habits like being comfortable or used to a relationship that is purely unhealthy and hold onto the fear that things wont get better… I have to stick to what I know I need to and not weaken and fall all over again or I will look back and wonder what could have been…it is scary for me with expecting our 3rd child but I know that we were all meant for more than complacency…You are right, we must act! Thank yo for this reminder…especially today.
Wow, it’s like you followed by blog, I click through to you and this post just lands in my lap at the exact time I needed it.
I know exactly what you’re talking about. I needed to stick with a 3-week meal plan and it was one of the most difficult things to do…wanted to give up at week 2. But I was proud I completed it. Although that one wasn’t for me, I know I can try again – sticking through it is the toughest but most rewarding. Thanks for the post!
i loooove your gravatar haha
I love your inspirational messages! I started this journey about four years ago, and I have loved every moment of it!
