The Everyday Battle
Posted on May 22, 2012
Make no mistake. The battle for your entire life is right now, today. Not tomorrow. Not yesterday. This moment, right now, is your life. That is all it will ever be and this is all it can be. It is what you do in the moment that will determine the outcome of the next moment. When you really break it down, you can live on a second by second basis.
I am sure that there are plenty of people along with myself who get into the day and say “Oh I will just start tomorrow.” Then you get to tomorrow, and for some reason you need another day…and that process keeps perpetuating itself until you are miles away from the path you initially dreamed of. We have to stop this. Nothing gets done when you think there is another day past this one. We sacrifice courage, our integrity, and loyalty to ourselves and others when we let tomorrow be the defining day of our lives. Frankly, we don’t know if tomorrow will exist. You can’t go there…and you can’t go to yesterday. The battle lives in this moment…today.
Get out there…and make an impact on your world today.
The Better Man Project
Absolutely! I just posted this very same concept today in my motivational minute. We have to stop putting off what we can do today because if it keeps happening it will never get done.
Amazing, Thank you!
I’m guilty of this, so as of tomorrow, no more 😉 Hehe
Sorry I meant this !
His is the Evan I know! ……go Evan….go Evan…go Evan , God bless you bro, lovely post .
I’m happy I came upon your blog post…I had actually thought of postponing working on more of my project until tomorrow, but I’ll get started on it today and not procrastinate reaching my goal — even for a day!
I had a lot of ideas for today. A big workout and some other ideas. Then I woke up and my legs are still killing me. Some other things changed as
I think some days your situation changes so you have to do something else. Maybe a better way to frame it is that you are attacking things from a different angle. So now I am going to do a different workout. I am going to do some other things that I planned to do. An effort was done.
You are right. Inaction is the enemy. If you are overweight for example, why worry about sets and what gear you will need? Just a short walk is better than nothing. At least you did something.
Yahoo. A recommendation to get out there and make a better day! Get away from the computer to move a bit. My friend always says, CREATE a wonderful day. I like your posts very much.
