Mentally I didn’t really finish this post in the morning. Something has been on my mind lately, and I have to put it out there.

I learned something a long time ago…that if you change your view, you will change your actions, and then your results will change. I’m going to be honest…Im not getting the results I want. So therefore, I am going to change the view I have right now. I am not going to get exactly into what this is, because I still need to really sit down and write. The song above is a great tribute to letting the past go and saying hello to the future. But I am going to talk about something else.

Do not be afraid to let everything you are doing right now go. Because it is only when we can sacrifice everything, that we can truly take the next step to reach our goals. You have to be willing to fight for it. To put everything into it. Let me tell you a story I read the other day.

There was this man who attended a self-help seminar…one of many he had attended throughout the years…and when he sat down and listened to the guy who had taken himself from nothing and achieved his wildest dreams…the man in the audience was touched. He went up to the speaker after the conference and said that he really wanted to hear more…he wanted to become a pupil or do anything he possibly could to learn the teachers ways. The teacher said that he was leaving in the morning for a flight out of the area…but if the pupil met him at the beach he would help him. So the pupil thanked him profusely and the next morning showed up at the beach at 6am. The teacher told him to walk out down to the water…so they walked together. Then the teacher asked the pupil to walk out with him into the water…and the pupil said “Are you kidding me I’m wearing these nice clothes!” The teacher said “Right there! That’s one of your problems. You are doubting my experiences and falling back on your ideas.” The pupil then walked out into the water with the teacher…deeper…and deeper…and deeper. When they were about neck deep…the teacher grabbed the pupil and started to drown him. The pupil was struggling, but couldn’t get up for air. He was fighting…and fighting…and finally punched the teacher in the stomach, causing the teacher to let up. Finally the pupil reached the surface and after he got a breath of air…he screamed at the teacher said “What the hell was that!”

The teacher looked at him and said…you have learned what it takes to be successful. When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe… then you will be successful.

It is time to let go of my old view, my old habits, my old self. Say goodbye…and say hello.
