Our finest moments come when we are faced with a seemingly insurmountable obstacle. No matter what it may be, we are then faced with a choice: roll over and die or fight for your life. Trust me when I say this next piece and suspend your disbelief for a second. Every single decision you make when faced with adversity is a fight for your life. Every single decision builds a habit and those habits are incredibly hard to break. I don’t want to be the person who congratulates or surprises myself for doing something bold. I want to be the person who is built out of boldness and whose character is rock solid. I want to live a bold life every single day…not just some of the days.

This is one of my only posts in a long time where I have written everything down on paper before I typed it up. I have to say that if I had more time, I would appreciate the form of my cursive on the page a little bit more. It really is soothing to my eyes and provides me a completely different sensation than typing. I feel that I really put my heart into the paper more. On other news, I am finally at day 4 of my juice fast. The worst of it is over and amazing watching my body transform even over these past few days. The hardest part is watching people eat. I was at the cafeteria the other day at school waiting to have a meeting with someone and realized why I was so hungry…it was because subconsciously I was watching everyone in the room stuff their faces. I have been trained my whole life to eat and that was a hard mental habit to break. However, I am starting to hear myself say that food is overrated. Honestly, now knowing what I know about the benefits of juicing, I do believe that food is overrated. Not that I am going to not eat when this fast is over…because that would be incredibly stupid, but I just feel like I have much more control over what goes into my body.  I am starting to view food as a way to fuel my body rather than something I have to have. You can control your life and you can certainly control what you eat. Your hands do not pick food up and put it in your mouth by itself. Have a little bit more self control and keep yourself accountable for your actions. If you goal is to lose 10lbs…research, do the numbers, and figure out exactly what you need to do each day to lose that weight. If you need some advice on how to get into shape and how to eat, check out gregplitt.com. He is one of my heroes and inspires me every single day to work harder and to get better. Plus he has a completely kick-ass attitude. 100% authentic.

There are some things that are going to happen to you in your life that are high impact but low probability. I repeat, low probability. But you can’t live your life scared of something happening to you today because of something that has happened in the past or might happen in the future. You will miss out on everything going on now…and I promise you if your thinking about something bad happening, it will happen. 3 words. Law of Attraction. You will paralyze yourself if you live life this way. Bad stuff is going to happen, but its your response that truly matters. The big guy above challenges you every day. Life is an obstacle course…do you expect it to be flat? Of course not. It is going to look like the latest episode of Wipeout. There will be pits, ladders, water, flying objects that unexpectedly drill you in the face. Your going to get knocked down and its going to hurt…sometimes really bad (aka tearing cartilage in your knee) but you have to get back on the horse (crutch yourself to the gym every day). I look at setbacks as a slingshot. You can either hold onto the ropes and fire away past where you used to be, or just slip out of the holster and fall apart. Entirely your choice. This life is truly beautiful. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Keep it real today. Don’t have any expectations for how things should be. Go out and make things the way you want them to be. Be who you want to be.
