Knowledge & Wisdom
Posted on January 7, 2012
There is a great difference between knowledge and wisdom. I guess you can call this project a wisdom…definitely not knowledge. I do understand that you have to have the knowledge to eventually gain wisdom. But, the difference is, you have to apply what you know. You have to take the knowledge you have been given or received…and test it. If it works for you, go for it. If it doesn’t, change the plan.
This is one of the biggest things I have learned throughout my short life. Application of the knowledge. It wasn’t until recently that I found this to be true in school too. Things become really interesting when you start applying the things you learn in life. I think that is why I have been reading so much lately. I am learning things and then applying them. This is incredibly fun and interesting.
There’s this competition…and Im going to do that. But if Im going to do it right, I’m going to have to take everything I know and actually apply it. If I apply everything I know…I can take care of business. 90 days is enough to change a lifetime of habits. 90 days is enough to do something great. So, tomorrow, I am going to write a 3 month bucket list to accompany my regular bucket list.
There is no doubt in my mind I can do this. I want it to be hard so that when I do achieve something great, I can say ‘Yeah I did that!’ It was hard and I powered through it. I hope its hard. If it was easy…it was too easy.
