Brought Me To This

Deep deep within there is always something that makes itself present when you need it the most. There are many different names for it, and to be honest, I have no idea what it is really. But today it came out. Today, it said, “Go ahead and start fresh…out with the old, in with the new. Let all the rest go.”

So I did.

I was reminded of the construction hat mentality that brought me so far. Believing that you are indeed a work in progress allows you to adjust course over time and make the changes you need to make. I believe that your life truly lives in your mentality of it – how you see the world and how you see yourself in it. No change will come to the man who doesn’t know in his heart that change is possible.

So the hard hat is on and I’m starting to build this puppy again. As always, life does it’s best to “life” you when you need to grow. It has never let me down. And as for the rest of it? – Thank you for the memories and the lessons you taught me…they were sweet in their own way.

Well said. To grow you must change. Purge the old to make room for new growth.

that’s what I was thinking too….I send your posts out periodically to a friend of mine who is making changes in his life…I thought maybe he would appreciate the company in the project. I’m glad you write about it.

Sometimes it’s only later that you understand the purpose behind the “detour.”
