The Voice

“Life will life you” it said to me

But why did you have to turn everything off?

Why did you make it so quiet?

“You needed to learn. It all happens for a reason. Never forget that.

Whatever I choose to do, there is a reason for it…one that always helps you grow.”

You only give me as much as I can handle, I know that, I just sometimes wish you didn’t trust me so much.

It hasn’t been easy.

“But remember, the pressure cracks didn’t mean you broke, it means you survived and now have an amazing story to tell.”

Will you help me write these stories?

“Of course. But you already know how.”

Oh, I like this very much. So, I’m sha-sharing it. Easy as pie with ‘reblogging’ on WordPress, which is a great way to gather content onto your blog while giving credit and exposure to other deserving bloggers. (Plus it brings your readers interesting and relevant content that YOU didn’t even need to write. Brilliant!) I love the online concept of sharing. It feels right – so long as credit is given. 🙂

First visit for the Better Man Projects. I am looking forward to checking in with you on your journey, and hearing more of your story. The voice. I heard in your words the importance of listening to that voice, the one inside us. I believe there are things that can mess with us, listening to our own voice (trauma? problematic emotions?). Keep on.

    Great verse.

I remain not so sure however whether that “inside voice” is always right. What is this inside voice? Many say it is our conscience. That may indeed be true. But much of the voices we hear really are our thoughts based on what we see as we peer out into the world through our coloured, perception tinted glasses. So what may be right for me may not be for you or another person.

I have read your fabulous blog in the distant past, and am pleased to see that you’re still at it! Bravo! Good for you!

Too many people quit and give up, at too many things, and it is sad.

Keep up the passionate work and writing!

    Many Blessings!
