I’d Like For Them To Say

At the end of my life, I would like for them to say that he gave it his all. He went out with all engines burning…and everyone who came into contact with him  could not deny the fact that he lived his life with love, fiery passion, and a never quitting attitude. I’d like for them to say these things.

When you have the end in mind, it really forces you to think of who you have to be now in order to achieve your dreams. I look back on my writing from almost three years ago, and it is amazing to see the things I was working on at that time. What is more amazing is that the person I am now, is the person I painted all those years back. That dream was just a dream. Now, it has become real.

There is no doubt in my mind the strength of visualizing what you want to be. My journey didn’t start off with significant amounts of financial poverty or anything of that nature. It started off with mental poverty. I couldn’t control anything with the mind I had. The tornado continued.

The book is currently being edited by a fantastic professional editor…and for me this is a dream come true. And it leads me to two really interesting thoughts. The first is the sometimes when you set your goals and dream big, you get lost, and you find something better along the way. That is definitely the case with this starting this blog years ago and now actually having finished the book. I never anticipated this to be the case. But like I said, getting lost within yourself is often the best thing that can happen. Dream big. You never know what might come out of it.

As I am closing the book on the previous portion of my life, I have been thinking about the next phase for me and my writing. How will I improve? What goals will I set? Who am I looking to become now? There is no ending these process of continuous deep diving and improvement. I have said from the beginning that if you think you are great then you have lost yourself already. I do have a list of things that I really want to work on, and that will be for a later post. But today I really wanted to stress the fact that you really can do what you put your mind to. Even if you have no idea what you are doing at the beginning, you have to dive in first. Go for it.

First, thank you for stopping by my blog. This was a lovely post, with some inspiring words. I think the greatest thing we can do is walk the path of becoming a human being. I learned the hard way: there is nothing in life we ‘have’ to do, but if we choose to be more, it’s the biggest difference in the world.
