Day (163) – The Road to G.P.

First of all, I want to thank everyone for the amazing wishes they sent me after getting put on Freshly Pressed. It was an unbelievable honor to be put amongst the top blogs in contrast to over 400,000 others…I am forever grateful. Now, to writing.

Greg Plitt, the man above, is my hero. I about to embark on one of the greatest body transformations in my entire life, and I am going to need a lot of support. Some are going to say I am crazy, some are going to say its not possible…and I am sure that there will be times when I think both. However, while I think it, it does not mean that I will believe it. It is going to be an unbelievable challenge, but I know in my heart that I can do it. I have the exact same frame as him, and what I need to do is just keep chipping away. Week after week, chip, chip, chip. The strength is there, now just comes the discipline.

So my transformation goal is out there. Now, with the end in sight, I am going to tell you how I am going to work backwards in order to achieve this goal. At this current moment, I am 6 foot 1 200lbs. I am at 12-14% body fat and pretty strong. Every single week I am going to post a progress photo with written up results and new personal records for what I lifted that week. I am going to follow Greg’s splits and cardio as close as I can. My eating plan will consist of juicing, good clean foods, and tons of vegetables. Also, I will keep a detailed lifting binding with everything I need inside. What is pretty cool is that I also have a great community of people ready to help and support me. So what does this really all come down to? Change.

Change is one of the hardest things ever, but you have to believe in yourself. You have to believe that the end result is worth it, and that all the pain and struggle you are going through is part of the process. It will be overwhelming at times, but in the end, you stand a champion. I will do this. Just like I told myself I would put my head down and write for a year, I can also do this. The road will be long, and it will be difficult, but it will be worth it. Greg, I am coming for you. I will see you at an expo soon…and we will take a picture together.

Congratulations on Freshly Pressed! You can do this, believe in yourself and anything is possible. Also, if you could link to a site with some juicing recipes possibly that would be amazing. And again, good luck!

The first paragraph of today’s post illustrates this.

OWN IT, MAN! But always remember – your only true competition is YOU.

That said, it’s always awesome to have those who inspire us in our minds.

Congratulations on your goals. Funny mine are very similar in that I wanted to finally this year start writing publicly. Not everyday which is very ambitious of you but rather once a week – which is enough since I also am a full time mom of four boys.

I also have a similar goal to have the best body and be in the best shape of my life after 10 years of relaxing into my post baby body. I am on the first diet that I’ve ever been on and it is going really well. I have also started doing Yoga 2 to 3 x per week which has been amazing. I would probably look fantastik at a 30lb loss and really do feel pretty good as is.

I think this is key – love your self where you are! Through loving and accepting yourself where you are – the steps for making yourself better come easily. Not without effort but that effort is natural and feels good.

Good luck with this other part of making yourself a better man.

You are such an inspiration! You’ve foreced me to admit that it’s possible to become fitter if one works hard. I’m going to start out a plan for becoming more healthy today. I’m already pretty fit, so I feel like I have no excuse for not getting better.

Does anyone have any tips on how to lose 7 lbs of fat without dieting? I’m a woman, obviously.
