Inspiration from Within

Where does it all come from when you are looking for inspiration? What makes you get up early, get those extra 100 crunches even though you are struggling and can’t breathe and the pain in your stomach is overbearing? Where does it come from? It comes all from inside. There is nothing else in this world that will motivate you to do anything or be anything like your inner inspiration. If you can dream it, it is possible. If you can see it in your mind, you can create it. If you want your body to be a specific way, you can shape it. Your life is like a piece of clay…you can turn yourself into anything and everything you want to. It is going to take some hard work but what would be the point of anything if you didn’t have to put some sweat equity into it? There would be no point. You would have everything handed to you on a platter and achieving what you want would become boring.

The voice inside of you can drive you to great heights and to great lows. A while back I wrote a story about a Cherokee elder teaching his grandkids the lesson of the two wolves. The results you are going to get in life come from whatever wolf you feed. If you believe that this world is an incredibly hard place, then that is what is going to be created for you. I absolutely love motivational videos online, but the one beef I have with many of the messages is that they always say something like “life is hard” or “it is a struggle.” I respectfully disagree. I believe that life is colorful. There is no gray area, there is just a situation full of different colors. I refuse to be colorblind to the emotions, thoughts, feelings, and passion that goes into every single event in life. Life is not hard, life is just life. Life is also beautiful. Life can be funny. Life can be anything. By saying it is hard and full of struggle is selling yourself short of all the great things there are out there. Now of course I acknowledge that there are some terrible things going on in this world that are not okay, but it does not mean that life in general is hard. One of the coolest quotes I ever heard was from Kai Greene who is a professional bodybuilder and the camera asked him if he hated doing cardio after leg workouts when he had absolutely no energy left. He said that it has nothing to do with hate. He went on to say that it is just going to be “more difficult” than some of the other things he had been doing. He then went on to absolutely massacre his legs in one of the hardest stair routines I have seen. This world is what  you create for yourself.

There is a reason for the picture above. I have been working on creating inspirational images for about four months now and I thought I would put up a small teaser. This image is a slight representation of the final product and I think you will enjoy the pieces I am going to come out with in a month or so. The whole concept behind Churchill Visions is to inspire people to live their life with power and courage. In the end, the image will give people a quick reminder of their purpose in life and inspire them to get after it each day and make their dreams come to. The company was named after one of my heroes Winston Churchill. It’s lunchtime…and if you reading this right now, you have 12 hours left to really make your mark on this world. You may not have the time to do it in a big way, but I am sure that you can find some way to either make someones day or clean up a mess you have made in the past. Tell people you care about them no matter what the circumstances are. They might not respond to your affection, but you know in your heart that you are doing the right thing. Have the courage to be everything you want to be.

I think its all about the muse. Mine is like an irrational woman. It comes and goes. Sometimes I can’t keep up with it, and other times I can practically hear crickets in the background.

That was a great one! You hit it dead on about life is what you create, there are many times I have to come back to that vision. It always shocks me when I mentally hit myself in the face because I brought something in that did not belong.

    Thanks for sharing,
    Peace and love

Great words of wisdom! I really like what you had to say about seeing life as a full range of colors not as black and white…great mental picture and so so true!

Nice. Fate, chance, destiny, are all part and parcel of the direction we follow but for the most part I believe we are handed the wheel and what direction we set a course for is up to us. You can choose to wake up happy, or sad, soar to great heights, or opt to never leave the ground. You, and only you, are captain of your ship. Life is such an interesting voyage, for me anyhow. I like the tease of the drawing. Will be interested to see more.
